Mud and Straw House 1958

 

DVB - "This is what was left of my Grandmother Wilhelmina Armbruster Scherle family home (her Mother and Father). Walls were mud and straw more than a foot wide. Dirt floor. Indians helped them very much."

Aunt Alice

I think this was her passport photo when she was 16, or younger. Can't see the red hair or freckles in black and white. We knew her as Alice McRoberts, our Grandmother Violet's sister.
